Another blow on the face of mankind. Just when it seemed like the world is finally getting out of the recession it gets hit by the swine flu. A deadly disease that has already killed enough human to create global consciousness all over the world. It has crossed the continents and has started spreading in all the populated cities of the world.
Swine flu is a sort of flu that normally attacks the pigs. The symptoms are quite similar to the normal viral flu and seasonal flu. You will have cold and sneezing. A rise in body temperature will be observed. The patient might feel pain at different parts of body. All these symptoms are, as said before, similar to the symptoms of normal flu. But it can be fatal if not treated properly at the right time.
But it can be prevented if we take the right precaution measures. As swine flu is viral so we need to make sure that we stay free from the attack of the virus. There are some basic rules we must abide by in order to stay free from swine flu. They are:
Wear masks: if you are someone who lives in a big city and there is an outbreak of swine flu, then you are suggested to wear surgical masks whenever you go out of your home. This would protect you from being infected by the airborne pathogen of swine flu. Always use a disposable tissue while you sneeze or cough and throw away the tissue in proper place.
Use hand Sanitizer: use hand sanitizers to get rid of any germs that might be there in your hand. You might get germs from door knobs lift buttons or electric switches. Use sanitizers as it kills the germs.
Wash your hands: wash your hand properly using soaps at least 5 times a day. Use soap and rub your hands for at least 20 seconds and wash it away. And then dry your hands in clean towel. This is the most important precaution to be taken to avoid falling victim to swine flu.
Besides these precautions we all must stay alert and if any symptoms of flu are visible then we should not take any chance and visit the doctor. Swine flu is a threat to the mankind and should be faced with great caution so that no more lives are lost due to this.
