cravingThere are a lot of smokers out there who are desperate to get rid of smoking but cannot stop craving for cigarettes at all. Every time they think that this is going to be the last one, the next moment they fall victim to cigarette craving. This is a simple and very effective method that can help you to stop craving for cigarettes.

The method is a very interesting one and is called “the gross jar method” by it’s inventor. The process somehow goes like this.

First you will have to take a jar. Then drop a few cigarettes in it along with some used ones also. Then fill the jar with water and close the opening of the jar with the lid. This is it. Your first task is done.

The next step comes into act when the next time you feel like to smoke. When this happens to you, go to the “gross jar” of yours, open the lid and take a long and big whiff. Are you alright sir? Isn’t the smell horrible and the most disgusting thing you have ever smelled or felt? The point where the “gross jar” will be at it’s best, will take a few days to reach there.

If you want to have a good and effective result, you are to spend s few moments staring at the water and smell a bit longer. This will help you to associate cigarettes with the gross looking water and the disgusting smell. So next time when you go for lighting another cigarette, you are likely to remember all those things and end up throwing away the cigarette.

To make it even more effective, do yourself a favor by spending about 10 minutes with your gross jar and take a shower after the session that might cause you some momentary difficulty like the gross smell logging in your nose.

You will have to understand that giving up smoking is by far the most difficult task for a man. So you will have to be very determined and try out different methods of quitting smoking and see which one suits you. And once you can give up this awful habit for good, give yourself some credit as you just saved your family from life threatening diseases.
