Who says it is not possible to leave the addiction of nicotine! It needs only three days to get your body rid of nicotine. Is it so difficult to live without smoking for just three days? From the fourth day without nicotine in your body, your body would start healing itself. All smokers can quit.
Obviously, you would get the urge to intake nicotine at the times when you used to smoke even when your body is free from nicotine. This would happen even after you have stopped smoking for some time. Thus, you need to be mentally strong to hold yourself so that you do not start your bad habit once again.
You might not have the strong will power to try the “cold turkey” way, which is to quit smoking instantly the moment you made up your mind that you want to put an end to this bad habit. Try to quit slowly, decreasing the number of cigarettes intake with each passing day.
Habits grow easily and purge at the same pace. Bad habits are not easy to get rid of. It is no less than a challenge for yourself to kick off your nicotine addiction. You might face great difficulties when you start not to smoke. You might feel depressed and sometimes the urge might make you feel that you are incapable of quitting or even doing anything. I suggest, you have faith on yourself and your will power.
Even if you fail after several attempts of trying to quit, do not lose hope and consider yourself as a good for nothing person. There is nothing that you cannot do. Believe me, you can give up smoking if you really try heart and soul. Once you are a new person, a non-smoker, try not to get on the old path again. Look forward, not backward!
